This year’s festival promises to go even deeper into the richness of the season. Expect a one-off menu that showcases the versatility of wild mushrooms, from delicate broths and foraged salads to hearty mains layered with umami. Optional wine and non-alcoholic pairings will be available, and of course, the entire menu will remain fully vegetarian and vegan-friendly.
Our chefs are finalising the 2025 festival menu in line with the best of this autumn’s foraging. While the final dishes will be revealed closer to the date, you can expect inventive preparations across textures and techniques, true to The Gate’s style. Past editions have featured truffle pâté with crostini, wild mushroom broth, and even mushroom bourguignon served with garlic & herb mash. We’ll be announcing the full line-up of dishes in September.
The Wild Mushroom Festival is more than just a menu; it’s rooted in a deep respect for the forest and the ingredients it provides. To capture this, we followed our founder Michael Daniel and executive head chef Morris Wegrodzki into the heart of the British autumn. Together, they spent a day foraging wild mushrooms before returning to Michael’s classic Volkswagen Camper to cook with their finds. This film gives you a glimpse into the passion, heritage and creativity that shape the festival’s dishes.
The Wild Mushroom Festival runs from Friday 10 to Monday 13 October 2025, with seatings beginning from 5:00pm each evening.
We’re located at The Gate Hammersmith, 51 Queen Caroline Street, W6 9QL; just moments from the Apollo.
